Start in 2010
The first Frostbite Half Marathon was held in 1979 at Montgomery Bell State Park, Burns, TN.
It was organized by Kent Rea at YMCA and Nashville Striders.
Lynda de Paulis has been the race director since 1995.
In 2008, it was moved to Cedars of Lebanon State Park and renamed Cedars Frostbite.
With 800 runners, it is now the largest of all the 22 races in Tennessee Running Tour.
